Marvel’s DAREDEVIL Gets the Funko Pop Treatment!

So it’s the holiday season and if any Nerdist editors out there want to get a particular writer something special they could start with these new vinyl figures from Funko Pop!

PopDaredevil

Earlier this year, Netflix did what some considered impossible with its successful first season of Marvel’s Daredevil. The blind defender of Hell’s Kitchen played by Charlie Cox took on a myriad of goons all leading up to a final battle against Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk. They are both now immortalized in adorable vinyl with Funko Pops. The Matt Murdock and his red armored counterpart are spot-on representations of Cox’s portrayal while the “vigilante” Daredevil and Wilson Fisk are perfect for their simplicity and – it’s actually kind of great – lack of detail. Making an angry bald figurine in a suit is the perfect Fisk or, as a large bald man myself, a pretty good representation of me at a wedding with a cash bar.

Like most Funko Pop figures, these will be priced as such (around $10) and we can only hope that they do well enough to warrant more Netflix Daredevil figures. We definitely need a Foggy Nelson (that looks like Elden Henson of course) and the world would be a better place with any representation of actor Vondie Curtis-Hall in toy form. The only thing they could have done better – in my opinion – is make the Wilson Fisk figure like the scaled-up Stay-Puft Marshmallow ones.

What characters do you wish Funko would make? Do you hope Jessica Jones‘ ones are on the way? Let us know how cool David Tennant‘s Purple Man would be in Pop form in the comments below!
