MARVEL’S AGENTS OF SHIELD and AGENT CARTER Discuss Their Upcoming Missions

The worlds of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter will change dramatically as the two ABC shows enter their third and second seasons, respectively. The events of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s epic season 2 finale will lead to a huge increase in the number of Inhumans worldwide, while Peggy Carter and her trusty confidante Edwin Jarvis will head to sunny Los Angeles in their sophomore year’s mission. At Comic-Con 2015 yesterday, I sat down to speak with S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet, Nick Blood, and Adrianne Palicki — as well as Agent Carter‘s Hayley Atwell and James D’Arcy (pictured above) — and their executive producer, Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb.

Atwell and D’Arcy, having not yet seen a script for their second season, couldn’t offer much on what will happen, but they had a few things to say about what they hope will happen. D’Arcy, for example, said he might like to see Jarvis became an S.S.R. agent, and that in a way he already views him as such. While S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Gregg and Bennet spoke a little about how the Secret Warriors storyline pulled from Marvel’s comics will affect the upcoming season-long arc, and how proud they are that before the Inhumans feature in a Marvel movie they’ll continue to play a major role in their show.

We’ll have these complete interviews up right here on Nerdist soon. In the meantime, be sure to check out the accompanying video, in which I share a little more of what I learned from yesterday’s interviews.

Are you an Agent Carter or Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fan? What are your hopes for their upcoming seasons? Let us know below!
