Marvel vs. DC Comes To Life In Epic Fan Trailer

Either Christmas came early or someone saved a really incredible Hanukkah present for the end of the celebration. This is what we thought when we saw the amazing fan-made trailer for the ultimate clashing of superheroes, Marvel vs. DC. Here’s the mash-up for your viewing pleasure:

While there have been moments of crossover on the page in previous years, the chances of DC Comics and Marvel coming together for this kind of epic multi-universe conflict on the big screen are slim to none, but we sure enjoy seeing the imagination of fans at work. Everyone from the Hulk, Batman, Storm, Rocket Raccoon and so many more are represented. It could only be cooler if some of the characters were actually human actors and not CGI, but hey, we get that this fan is working with what the studios have already given him.

The preview was edited together by Alex Luthor, and this is not the only incredible creation we found on his YouTube profile. In the last month alone, he’s mashed up Star Wars and Superman, and created a trailer for the upcoming Suicide Squad. Pretty much all of his creations make us smile.

So while you’re hiding from your family this lovely holiday season, we recommend a deep dive into YouTube. Start with Alex Luthor and see what other great fan-made trailers you can find. Make sure you share them in the comments below. Obviously, we need a reason to escape from the pressures of holiday time too.

  1. Ben says:

With heroes such as Franklin Richards and Scarlet Witch, my money’s on Marvel. Granted, I think it’s fair to say I don’t know nearly as much about DC heroes, so I could be missing something. Then I think about the One-Above-All coming and all the DC heroes just disappearing from the screen and it makes me realize that my lack of DC knowledge is actually irrelevant.

  2. Dave says:

Eventually that will happen..the movie that film would make in every way..

  3. slayerking5000 says:

Anyone else catch that that was Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping) from Stargate SG-1 at the beginning? #bringbackStargate2TV

  4. Greg Scavezze says:

They need to come up with a valid reason for the “vs.” besides being created by differing parent comic book companies. That won’t work well 4th wall wise, lol!

    • Nick Mosing says:

Can we bring up the short crossover run of April through May of 1987, in which Marvel and DC become aware of each other by means of two brothers each representing a side? Through the series the two sides challenged each other in tournament style using heroes from their respective sides. The outcome of a movie such as this would likely be the same, each side basing together to save their universes after a bunch of epic battles.

      • Nick Mosing says:

Apologies, that was supposed to say 1996, not 1987. Should have typed that out on the laptop instead of the phone, but oh well.

  5. Hal says:

    I’d watch that

Good god, this was one hell of a mash up. All I can do is bow my head and say well done Mr Luthor

  8. larry says:

He really missed an opportunity by not dropping the A from his name

  9. I can already hear Coulson complaining in his adorably fanboy way about having to clean this up 🙂
