MARVEL VS. CAPCOM INFINITE E3 Trailers Reveal New Characters and a Deadly Alliance

This fall, Marvel and Capcom are teaming up again for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, the long-awaited followup to the fan favorite crossover series. And at E3, Capcom revealed several returning characters, plus a few who are making their debut in the series.

The new story trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite reintroduces the heroes of the two respective universes as they unite against Ultron-Sigma, the combined form of their greatest enemies powered by two of the Infinity Stones. Fortunately for the heroes, they have someone intimately familiar with the Infinity Stones on their side…they just can’t trust him. The Mad Titan, Thanos, will be a playable character in this game, and he’ll almost certainly betray the heroes to achieve his own goals.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy also have a larger presence in this game, as Gamora joins the ranks of the heroes and Groot makes his debut as a companion of Rocket. The story trailer also offers the first look at Dante from Devil May Cry, and reintroduces Mega Man X’s Zero as an unwilling villain.

Black Panther is also making his debut as a playable character in the deluxe edition of Infinite. Other confirmed characters including Nova, Doctor Strange, Strider, Captain Marvel, and Arthur are shown in action. Thanos also shows off the true power of the Infinity Stones as special attacks within the game.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will be released on September 19th for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
