If you’re a comics fan hyped about the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie this summer, Marvel may just have you covered: variant covers, a one-shot, and a Star-Lord comic are on the way from the publisher this summer.
Will Corona Pilgrim and Andrea Di Vito will be the minds behind the Rocket Raccoon and Groot one-shot, Guardians of the Galaxy: Galaxy’s Most Wanted in July. Marvel hasn’t released details of the book, but it will reprint an early Drax appearance in Thor, for some reason.
Legendary Star Lord #1 sounds like a new ongoing series from Sam Humphries and Paco Medina, the details of which are also under wraps. That book and Andy Lanning and Gustavo Duarte’s 100th Anniversary Special #1: Guardians of the Galaxy round out the July Guardians material that hasn’t previously been announced.
A handful of non-Guardians titles will receive variant covers based on the series, and I’m not entirely sure what that’s going to look like. Will we see Ms. Marvel in a Guardians uniform?
James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be in theaters on August 1st.

Stan Lee isn’t 100 yet is he? or is he 200? Or is he Wolverine!?
