That AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Spin-Off Will Star Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood

It looks as though that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off is officially a go if the latest rumor has any salt to it. Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood are — according to Deadline — allegedly circling to star in the series! Between this and the rumor that John Ridley’s as-yet-untitled TV project might actually be a Ms. Marvel show and, well! We suppose you could say everything’s coming up Marvel! Will the 2015 – 2016 TV season have a series that doesn’t involve the comic empire?

Focusing on Lance Hunter and Barbara “Bobbi” Morse (better known as Mockingbird), the show is apparently being set-up already with the doings of this current season. Although don’t assume that Bobbi and Mack’s secret plan has anything to do with it — Marvel and ABC are both staying mum on the matter. (Although for our money that feels like a pretty logical bet.)

The spin-off’s future is all contingent on the script, though. But if it does get that sweet, sweet greenlight, S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Paul Zbyszewski is expected to showrun it.

Oh yeah, and about that John Ridley thing we teased before? That’s also an ABC property if the rumors over at ComicBookMovie.com are true — so take it all with a grain of salt, folks. That said, Ridley is allegedly very keen on creating an adaptation of Kamala Khan’s popular new book that has a slow-burn origin story ala Netflix and Marvel’s Daredevil.

Although we will say this — we sure do hope this doesn’t mean Agent Carter isn’t getting renewed. We need more Peggy Carter!
