Mark Hamill’s Autographs are a Hilarious Trip into the Mind of an Icon

A recent post from Imgur user raggedrabbit offers us a look at some old Star Wars trading cards that were autographed by none other than Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill. The cards don’t seem to be the property of raggedrabbit, and there is no way to tell from the post how old the autographs are. What can be told, though, is that Mark Hamill has a wicked sense of humor about his Star Wars days.

Honestly, when you have portrayed The Joker in one form or another for over twenty years, a little dark humor is a necessity, and it seems Hamill doesn’t mind letting it show.

While some may balk at the price tag that can come with a celebrity’s signature at events and conventions, it seems Hamill is at least trying to make the experience a little more worthy of the dollar amount. Whether it truly matches up to the $200+ some have reported paying to meet, greet, and sign with the last of the Jedi is for each padawan to decide.

Unlike many of his fellow co-stars, Hamill has always seemed more accepting and loving of his Star Wars fandom, even after he had moved on with his career. While Hamill never had the kind of career that Harrison Ford did after Star Wars, he will forever be one of the kings of geek culture, and he wears it well. I know if I owned something like one of these cards, it would find a it place of honor in my home, and I would pass it down to the children to cherish it, like their father before them.

Check out the gallery of autographs below and have a good laugh.
