With the anticipation of Star Wars: The Force Awakens at an all-time high, it’s good to see that Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill has not forgotten about his DC fans. According to reports, Hamill will be reprising his role of James Jesse, a.k.a. The Trickster, on season two of The Flash.
Rumors of Hamill’s return began this weekend when pictures of him with crew members of the hit TV show starting popping up on different social media outlets. Comicbook.com reached out to The CW, who gave official confirmation that we will indeed be seeing The Trickster again this season.
With Hamill returning and John Wesley Shipp portraying Barry’s father, this version of The Flash is continuing its tradition of paying homage to its 1990s predecessor.
There is currently no word on which episode Hamill will appear in, nor what will lead to the Trickster’s return. What we do know is that we are definitely looking forward to it. We just wish there could be some sort of situation that would require him to use his Joker voice. Fans were teased/tortured on Arrow with an extremely small cameo from Harley Quinn. It would be amazing to have arguably the best version of the Clown Prince of Crime make an appearance as well.
The Flash airs Tuesdays on the CW.
So what do you think? Are you excited for Mark Hamill’s return to The Flash? Or is Star Wars the only thing you can think about right now? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
