MARIO KART Meets MAD MAX in Furious Movie Poster

Here’s something to lighten up your day.  Thanks to the magic of the internet and the mastery of artist J.P. Perez, we now have a perfect movie poster for a dream mash up of Mario Kart and Mad Max: Fury Road. It’s brilliantly crafted to bring these two seemingly polar opposites together. Interestingly enough, this would make for a perfect poster for the recent parody video that set out to bring these two worlds together.

Everything about this art is terrifying, in a good way. Even the name is well thought out, Mad Mar: Rainbow Road, referencing the extremely punishing track. The only question is which one of the tracks does it mean? There have been multiple iterations of the unforgiving road.

There are also plenty of familiar faces from the Mushroom Kingdom on here, but their appearances have been altered to better fit the wasteland tone. Here’s the list of the cast: Bowser as Immortan Joe, Koopa Troopa as Nux from the War Boys, Princess Peach as Furiosa, and Mario (Mar) as Max. Bowser and Peach both look fierce.

Only one thing can take the madness up a notch, the introduction of the blue shell. The picture is also lacking a fire breathing instrument. Other than that, it’s all on point.

I just find it hard to believe that Bowser would have such a prominent role in this wasteland; his plans are always shortsighted and that won’t cut it in a desolate land. On the bright side, he’d do fine with the heat, since his castles always contain pits of lava.

Who do you think would come out on top from this cast?
