MAD MAX: Black Friday is Absolutely Terrifying

Carnage. Mayhem. A dystopian wasteland of scarce resources, populated by eager, desperate consumers on the hunt for something to sustain them. No one is safe. This is a place ruled by madness.

No, I’m not talking about Mad Max: Fury Road, I am talking about Black Friday shopping, an experience much more harrowing for its savagery than anything even George Miller could imagine.

The folks at Break.com put together this video, titled “Mad Max Battles Black Friday,” that puts the characters of Fury Road right in the middle of the Black Friday sales crush. Max and Furiosa are no longer trying to run from Immortan Joe, but rather survive “Bargain Hunter” Joe and his band of vicious shoppers.

I have to say, as someone that stays home on Black Friday like he’s hiding in a bomb shelter during the Cuban Missile Crisis, I would seriously reconsider my stance on the whole day if some mall or store had this guy outside playing a fire guitar in a Santa hat. I don’t think I could fight the urge to watch him play even if someone told me he was performing in the middle of a tornado. Also, it wouldn’t hurt if Furiosa happened to be the store manager at said department store.

Until then, I think I’ll just stay home and avoid the high-octane insanity of Black Friday with something that isn’t nearly as insane, you know, like Fury Road itself.
