Macaulay Culkin Crawls Back Into Our Hearts with Pizza Underground

Macaulay Culkin. Velvet Underground. Pizza. No, this isn’t some updated vision for Kevin McAllister tripping out on drugs and coming up with inventive ways to steal a large cheese pizza all for himself. Macaulay Culkin has taken his love of Lou Reed and pizza and created the phenomenal tribute band The Pizza Underground. Covering Velvet Underground tunes with new pizza infused lyrics, Culkin has created possibly the greatest ode to pizza since the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles discovered alternative ingredients. In their first track, a medley, look for solid hits like “Papa John Says,” “I’m Beginning to Eat the Slice,” “Pizza,” “I’m Waiting for Delivery Man,” “Cheese Days,” “Pizza Day,” “All the Pizza Parties,” “Pizza Gal,” “Take a Bite of the Wild Slice.”

This may have only been a one time thing to salute a fallen hero in Lou Reed at the band’s only gig so far back in November, but it’s still worth every moment of deliciousness. Also, when did Macaulay start looking like Jax Teller’s little brother?
