Love Blooms on the Battlefield When METAL GEAR SOLID V Character Models are Swapped

Sure, games are great, but it’s often the wacky PC mods that keep the title on people’s tongues for years to come. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Grand Theft Auto V, and even The Sims are all prime examples of this phenomenon. While some are simply minor tweaks that enhance the experience, there are others, like the one I’m about to talk about, that really shake things up.

As you’re probably already aware, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is finally out in the wild. In the short amount of time since its September 1 release date, people have ranted about it, found easter eggs, and of course, crafted mods–much like the Ocelot/Quiet character model swap in the video above.

Switching out characters is nothing new, but there’s just something about seeing Ocelot strut his stuff around the Mother Base (and in the shower) to the tune of some romantic music, that puts YouTube user MikeKob’s video over the top. Adding Big Boss to the equation makes this a bromance worth watching. If you’ve yet to watch the original scene from the game and don’t mind the spoiler, check it out here.

Seeing as the internet is, after all, the internet, Quiet and Ocelot aren’t the only ones being switched. There’s another video making the rounds that replaces D-Dog with Ocelot. The results are…interesting to say the least. Check out YouTube User Senza’s video below:

If you have the game on PC and are in the mood to try out these mods for yourself, head on over to Nexxus Mods and get cracking. Also, our resident science guru Kyle Hill recently published an article discussing Quiet’s attire (or lack there of), and the reason behind it. Don’t forget to check it out!

Which video is your favorite? Do you have any mods you’d like to share? Let us know in the comments below.
