Clean those ears out and listen up, people, because today’s Movie Morsels has your first ever opportunity to hear part of the score for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Plus, the Rampage film has cast its leading lady, Shane Black’s The Predator scores yet another acclaimed young actor, Ghost in the Shell has itself a new poster, and much more!
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
James Gunn comes through yet again as the most fan-friendly director in the Marvel Studios stable. The filmmaker, joined by composer Tyler Bates, has taken once more to Facebook to offer fans a very special video in which they can hear a piece of the score for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. To make matters all the cooler, the music in the clip is performed by conductor Tim Williams and his orchestra in London’s Abbey Road recording studio. Enjoy!

Rampage
Naomie Harris (pictured above in the recent Collateral Beauty) won a legion of fans for her portrayal of Ms. Moneypenny opposite Daniel Craig’s James Bond. Now the English actress has signed on for another franchise, albeit one that’s just making the leap to the big screen for the first time: Rampage, based on the 1980s video game. Joining Dwayne Johnson in a battle against giant monsters–as directed by Johnson’s San Andreas director Brad Peyton–Harris will play “a geneticist with a moral streak.” Is that official description meant to imply that geneticists are complete assholes?
The Predator
Young Jacob Tremblay won a ton of acclaim for his performance in Room–nearly as much as his Oscar-winning co-star Brie Larson. Among the many who took note of the tyke’s talents were writer-director Shane Black, whose The Predator has just recruited his services. Tremblay will star as the son of Boyd Holbrook’s character, “an ex-Marine who discovers the existence of fierce aliens but finds that no one believes they exist.”
Ghost in the Shell
The live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell continues to offer its share of provocative imagery. Case in point: the film’s latest poster has Scarlett Johansson’s cybernetic Major being taken apart (or perhaps put back together?) in anticipation of her war with that most sinister of AIs, the Pupper Master…

The Man Who Fell to Earth
While we love Labyrinth as much as the next nerd, there was a lot more to David Bowie’s acting career than his muppet-filled fantasy romp. The late icon’s greatest role may have been that of an alien trapped on our planet and corrupted by the decadence of the 1970s in Nicolas Roeg’s The Man Who Fell to Earth. Here’s our review of the film’s new Blu-ray.
