Letâs talk about that Guardians of the Galaxy trailer. Pretty cool, right? Not only it is bound to catapult loveable Andy Dwyer (Chris Pratt) to Star-Lord stardom, it looks unlike any superhero movie weâve seen before. Many Marvel fans were bummed that we didnât get to hear from a few of the key Guardians, including Groot, the talking (sort of) tree creature, and his comrade, Rocket Raccoon.
Youâre in luck, then, because Marvel just released two new character profiles, called âMeet the Guardiansâ. First up is Bradley Cooper as Rocket:
So far itâs just one line, but it gives us an idea of the hardened voice Bradley Cooper is going for. On the other hand, one line is likely all you’ll hear from Rocket’s pal Groot, voiced by Vin Diesel.
This appears to be the first batch of several character profiles, so hopefully weâll be learning more about this ragtag group of heroes over the next few months.
Guardians of the Galaxy opens August 1st, 2014.
I still don’t know why they couldn’t just get the voice-actor who did RR in “Marvel vs. Capcom 3” and the “Avengers:EMH” animated series.
@Dungeon You must not have noticed the title that Nerdist gave to this article.
@elucidarian You do know that these videos were made by Marvel Entertainment and not Nerdist. Nerdist only posted them.
Hmm a bit more biased toward Capcom’s treatment of RR as british snarky ass-hole.
Alternate headline: “Listen to any clip other than these to give you a better idea of how Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel will portray Rocket Raccoon, Groot.”
Nerdist, you disappoint.
