Thank Goodness, Lin-Manuel Miranda Just Made Emma Watson Beatbox

You know, it was never going to be Kim Kardashian that broke the internet. Sure, she may seem like an obvious choice, but if you’ve ever met a fan of Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s blockbuster Broadway musical, Hamilton, you’d know the truth. In meme culture and with a fandom obsession by his side, it was always going to be Lin that did it. Like when he freestyle rapped with the President—or in this video where he gets Emma Watson to beatbox.

At this rate, Lin-Manuel Miranda could probably get Vladimir Putin to put on a shirt and Donald Trump to slow his roll—that’s the level of influence and charisma he has.

But that’s not even the half of it—the duo also sorted characters from Hamilton (and, in turn, American history) into the Hogwarts houses because WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO TO US, YOU GUYS?

Some of them are pretty straightforward—Eliza being Gryffindor, Angelica as Ravenclaw—but Hamilton and Aaron Burr seemed to be points of contention for the two (mostly thanks to Daniel Radcliffe). Harry Potter himself put our $10 founding father in Ravenclaw, whereas Hermoine assumed he was Gryffindor through and through. Burr was first cast as a sneaky snake, but Watson asserted there was “a case to be made for Hufflepuff.”

Do you think Burr’s more Slytherin or ‘puff? What about Hamilton? Let us know in the comments below.
