Let Your Creativity Be Inspired in First A LEGO BRICKUMENTARY Trailer

Last year, The LEGO Movie took the world by storm (well, the world MINUS the Academy). Between that and all the amazing video games that have been released over the years, LEGO has become an integral part of our culture. For me, LEGO has always just been there, from when I was little making my own Transformers, to today when I can create my own miniature Batcave.

I never really thought about where they came from, until now. Narrated by Jason Bateman (Arrested Development, Horrible Bosses), A Lego Brickumentary takes you back to 1916, where a Danish woodworking shop would set the stage for what will eventually become one of the most popular toys of all time. It also chronicles its recent rise in popularity, where anything and everything, from Star Wars to Jurassic World has some sort of Lego tie-in.

The focal point of the film is the creativity it inspires. Children and adults alike don’t see these as just toys, but a way to express themselves artistically, using their imaginations to create anything they want, from cars, to roller coasters, to entire cities.

I will admit, I am one of those “follow the instructions to the letter”-type Lego builders. If I buy the Batmobile set, it will look like the Batmobile when I am done. I am in awe by the talent of the people in this movie.

A Lego Brickumentary was directed by Kief Davidson and Daniel Jung, and will be release July 31, 2015.

So what did you think? Are you looking forward to see what catchy theme song THIS movie will have? Are you already inspired to head to the Lego Store this instant? Let me know on Twitter or in the comments below.
