After many rumors that LEGO Star Wars would be making a comeback this year, Microsoft has unintentionally confirmed the news and we’re ecstatic. LEGO video games are back, baby!

The Xbox site lists LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens with a June 28 launch date. Warner Bros. has yet to make the announcement, so we’ll update this story once the publisher makes it official and once we know all the platforms the game will make an appearance on. That said, the above clip suggests that the game will debut on PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and PC.

Several screenshots have also been posted (which you can view below). According to the description of the listing, the players will relive all of the action from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, but this time experience it all through the comical “LEGO lens.” You’ll, of course, be able to play as all of your favorite characters from the movie—including Kylo Ren and BB-8.

There will also be new content that will bridge the story gaps between Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Thanks to the Star Wars: Battlefront DLC, we already know about the important battle on Jakku that occurs after the Empire is taken down by the Rebels. So there’s a possibility that this key struggle will be further explored.

Finally, the series will introduce Multi-Builds and Blaster Battles. You’ll use available LEGO bricks to unlock new paths, then take those apart and use the same bricks to unlock the next paths—rinse-and-repeat. As for Blaster Battles, you’ll be using cover to fight the First Order.

With the huge success of the film counterpart, it makes sense to bring this series back. On top of looking great on the new hardware, it’s a safe bet that the same witty humor from past installments will also make a glorious comeback.

Are you guys excited to once again return of this series? What new features would you like to see included? Let us know in the comments below!
