LEGO Displays STAR WARS & JURASSIC WORLD Sets at Toy Fair 2015

Star Wars has teamed up with LEGO to bring a whole new set of toys for our enjoyment with the release of Episode VII this coming year. While the brand new, Episode VII-specific toys are being kept largely out of sight (though totally on our minds) at this year’s Toy Fair, there were plenty of awesome things to see that had us excited.

From AAT Battle Tanks to AT-DP Walkers and Imperial Shuttles, LEGO is bringing forth one of the most diverse collections since 1999. The new toys feature characters from the classic movies, Star Wars Rebels and the new episode coming in 2015. There will be larger sets with vehicles, and landscapes straight out of the Death Star. There will also be smaller sets with fun droids and microfigures to play with. Kids (and adults obviously) will be able to travel to Hoth, space, Naboo and Coruscant while building these iconic scenes. There are Tusken Raiders and Battle Droids to explore with, too. Oh, and did we mention that Boba Fett‘s classic ship Slave I is also coming? It is. It’s going to be awesome.

Star Wars fans and LEGO fans alike are known for passionate collecting, and Toy Fair brought those fans together. In collaboration with LEGO, one fan put together a collection of every single microfigures that have been released by the company. They were all on display at Javits Convention Center, and truly demonstrated LEGO and Star Wars dedication to creating toys that honor every small part of the franchise.

Now to transition to dinosaurs. We wanted to make a sly joke in the style of Andy Dwyer, but we were too busy geeking out over the genetically modified new dinosaur they’re introducing as part of their Jurassic World sets that will be available in May 2015.  Chris Pratt has another microfigure to his credit, and Bryce Dallas Howard has one now, too. Check out the awesome vehicles, lab settings, oh yeah and DINOSAURS! Because dinosaurs are awesome.
