LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Season 2 Teaser Intros Stargirl, and More TV News

If you’re one of the lucky ones, this is your last day of work before a three-day weekend. I hope it passes by quickly for you, and I’m here to give you a little assist by encouraging you to take a break for some television news. Peruse today’s TV-Cap for a teaser for season two of Legends of Tomorrow with the tiniest peek at Stargirl, some Westworld key art, news about some renewals at Syfy, and more.

No Rules. The Queen of France, Einstein, Stargirl… it’s just another season of The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow. The latest teaser for the time traveling series shows the crew of the Waverider taking some liberties with their new roles as Time Master replacements. I predict Rip Hunter will lose all his hair trying to wrangle his crew. Also, if you keep your eyes peeled at about 20 seconds in, you’ll see our first look at Stargirl. [CBR]

Animal Style. We’ve seen our first look at Maisie Richardson-Sellers in full costume as Vixen, but Legends executive producer Marc Guggenheim shared some concept art showing off the details. Costume designer Maya Mani and artist Andy Poon created the look for the character. [CBR]

Done and Done. Syfy has ordered the next round of drinks for Killjoys and Dark Matter. Both series have been given orders for third seasons.

Celebrate with Supes. While you’re kicking back and relaxing this weekend, why not do so with Superman? El Rey Network is hosting a weekend-long Superman marathon beginning Saturday, September 3, at 12:00p.m. ET. They’ll keep showing the films through Superman IV, and then they’ll start over–each of the four Superman movies will air six times over the weekend. So basically, you have no excuse to miss them.

Well, That’s Eerie. HBO has released official key art for Westworld, premiering on October 2. It centers on an incomplete robot with an ominous tagline, “Every hero has a code.” Code, in this case, meaning actual code or a moral one? Hm. [Image: HBO]

Add Your Name. The mockumentary showing what Thor was up to during Captain America: Civil War features the hero enjoying everyday life with his new roommate Darryl. The short is so entertaining that fans have started a petition to take the idea to Netflix to become a series. I don’t have high hopes for anything coming of it, but I’m on board with the idea. You can sign the petition here. [Nerdist]

Rap Master. The cast of Stranger Things stopped by The Tonight Show to play a game called Stranger Strings. It’s a get-to-know-each-other type of game with the addition of silly string. Besides the amusing fact that they go for each other’s faces all the time with the silly string and especially pile the goo on Jimmy Fallon, they learn about Millie Bobby Brown’s mad rapping skills–you can see her talent in that department at 4:40 in the above video. Deep Dive. Remember that we’ve mentioned new characters coming to season two of Stranger Things? Don’t worry if you don’t recall the details because Jessica Chobot breaks it down on the latest Nerdist News. Watch the above and get all the Hawkins-related scoop and speculation. [Nerdist]

Trauma Relived. Oh, “Baelor.” The penultimate episode of season one of Game of Thrones featured the loss of the beloved Ned, and everything has been going more or less downhill for the Starks ever since. Read Michael’s recap of the important episode in the latest Game of Thrones Re-Throned.

What do you hope to see in season two of Legends of Tomorrow? Sound off in the comments.
