Legendary Comics Unleashes Artist Geoff Shaw’s A TOWN CALLED DRAGON Covers

This morning, Legendary Comics released the covers for the first two issues of A Town Called Dragon. The first issue of the five-part miniseries is out later this month, and you can get a good look at the human vs. dragon action of the forthcoming action-comedy series.

Coming off like a small-ball Reign of Fire, A Town Called Dragon is set in a small Colorado village of the same name. There, the residents try to turn a profit off of dragon folklore and their unique name. Little do they know that the real deal is sleeping beneath the earth, not too far away. When a German excavation crew unearths the last dragon, they unleash a fire breathing killer, meaning the ragtag band of small town folks are going to have to turn dragon slayer to survive.

From the official synopsis:

On the surface it seems like your average all-American tourist trap, but this snow-covered town hides a burning secret. After centuries of lying buried within the depths of an icy mountain, the world’s last dragon egg finally hatches – endangering modern life as we know it. Now an unlikely group of dangerously unqualified, ordinary citizens must band together, battling the elements – and each other – to slay this menacing creature.

A Town Called Dragon is from frequent DC writer Judd Winick (Green Arrow and Black Canary, Batwing). Cover and interior artist Geoff Shaw worked on Buzz Kill for Dark Horse.

The first issue of A Town Called Dragon will be on shelves September 24.
