Latest LEGO BATMAN MOVIE Trailer Brings Us to Lonely Wayne Manor

“When you’re as super as me, you don’t get just one trailer, you get two trailers–in one week.”

In fairness, the Dark Knight is pretty super, which is why today we were given yet another trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie, even though we just this past Thursday that we brought you coverage of the release of the first one.

Here the cocky Caped Crusader (voiced by Will Arnett) once more breaks the fourth wall to talk directly to his “uber-nerd fans” (that’s us!) about how the internet went crazy for the release of his first trailer. We then get to visit the massive LEGO Wayne Manor, where the obviously sad orphan-turned-superhero, one that never removes his mask, desperately does not want to talk about his feelings with his butler Alfred, voiced by Ralph Fiennes (though his LEGO Alfred looks more like William Shakespeare).

As with the first trailer, the film is clearly not going to shy away from Batman‘s cinematic history, even if this version of him is as a small plastic toy. In fact, it appears the movie will have a lot of fan with Bruce Wayne’s big screen forays. Alfred says to Bruce, after catching him talking to his parents’ portrait again, “Sir, I’ve seen you go through similar phases in 2016, and 2012, and 2008, and 2005, and 1997, and 1995, and 1992, and 1989, and that weird one in 1966.”

This trailer is just as silly and funny as the first, with the added bonus of a random Glengarry Glen Ross reference thrown in to the mix. This already looks like it could be the most fun Batman movie ever made. Considering how funny Batman was in The LEGO Movie, the potential for something great is really high here. Unfortunately it doesn’t open until February of 2017.
