Latest DAREDEVIL Motion Poster Teases the Red Suit, Has All the Easter Eggs

Marvel’s Daredevil arrives on Netflix on April 10, and we’re slowly learning new tidbits about the series. Marvel has released teasers and production stills, but mostly, they’re using motion posters to introduce us to Hell’s Kitchen. And by motion posters, I mean long animated gifs. Like gifs, they’re mesmerizing. You can watch them over and over, and that’s especially the case with the latest one. It depicts a street scene, and it’s brimming over with Easter eggs–the biggest of which can be seen in Matt Murdock’s (Charlie Cox) reflection.

The image we see on the ground is most definitely not Murdock’s suit or the black costume we’ve seen him wear in trailers. This looks to be our first hint at Daredevil’s classic red costume. Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight has confirmed that we’ll see the makeshift black ensemble morph into the red suit “because he wouldn’t be Daredevil without it.” Excited feelings: I have them.

Besides that reveal, the street scene features other gems. Avengers Tower looms in the background which means that Daredevil presumably takes place in the same universe as Marvel’s films. Characters such as Leland Owlsley (Bob Gunton) and Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer) can be seen for the first time. The sign for Nelson and Murdock’s offices lights up just above the diner, and there’s also a sign for Josie’s Bar which is a hangout Daredevil frequents in the comics when he needs intel. And of course, Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), and Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) are in the scene too.

Did I miss anything? Let me know in the comments!

An odd hope. But I really hope they give a wink and a nod to TMNT by showing some turtles somehow during Matt’s accident as a kid.
