Attention, Marshmallows! Thereâs a Veronica Mars reunion coming to iZombie next year, but probably not in the way that you would expect.
Veronica Mars creator and iZombie executive producer Rob Thomas has lined up his former Veronica Mars star, Kristen Bell, for an appearance on the January 26 episode of iZombie. Unfortunately, fans wonât get to see Bell share the screen with iZombie leading lady, Rose McIver. Instead, only Bellâs voice will be used in the episode.
McIver made the announcement in a video that was posted by Entertainment Weekly.
Aside from starring in both the Veronica Mars TV series and the feature film, Bell is currently featured in Showtimeâs House of Lies. Bell also narrated The CWâs Gossip Girl series and voiced Anna in Disneyâs Frozen.
So far, the only details about Bellâs iZombie episode indicate that itâs called “Fifty Shades of Grey Matter,” which is a pretty obvious Fifty Shades of Grey riff. The victim of the week will be a librarian who was also an erotic fiction writer. Perhaps Bell will portray the voice of the victim, or read her books on tape.
Thomas has previously featured other Veronica Mars actors on iZombie, including Ryan Hansen, David Starzyk, Adam Rose, Daran Norris, and Percy Daggs II. Hopefully Enrico Colantoni and Ken Marino will eventually show up as well!
Veronica Mars fans, are you looking forward to Bellâs cameo role on iZombie? Whatâs it going to take to get Bell and McIver onscreen together? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
