Kingsman: The Golden Circle will slide into theaters later this week and expand upon the characters and the world originally created by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. Director Matthew Vaughn and his co-screenwriter, Jane Goldman, have gone beyond the comic book to introduce new villains, as well as new allies from Statesman, the American version of Kingsman. Both the original movie and its sequel feel like a throwback to classic spy action movies, so it’s appropriate that Kingsman: The Golden Circle is getting its own board game that could have easily escaped from the ’80s and we have an exclusive look at the commercial.
Unfortunately, the board game itself isn’t real, but we’d still love to get our hands on it. Instant fancy clothes and gadgets? Sign us up! Instead, we’ll just have to be satisfied by this very amusing parody ad in which four kids play the Kingsman game and find themselves transformed into Eggsy, Tequila, and Poppy Adams, the villainous leader of the Golden Circle who is portrayed by Julianne Moore in the film. As for the fourth kid, he’s sitting on Poppy’s side, so he could be a bad guy. His look seems to match Sir Elton John’s portrayal of himself in the film:
Look at what Sir Elton is wearing and tell us it doesn’t remind you of the costume worn by the kid on the left. Hmm.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle will open in theaters this Friday, September 22.
