The most famous Bacon of all is now selling eggs. That’s right, Kevin Bacon has a new YouTube short dedicated to his love of eggs and getting you to eat them.
The two minute long web video shows Kevin Bacon nonchalantly laying on a kitchen counter and seducing viewers with his random egg facts for IncredibleEgg.org.
According to the behind the scenes footage of the video, Kevin Burkam, Senior Vice President of Marketing for the American Egg Board says, “The goal of the Wake Up to Eggs With Bacon campaign is to bring attention to the many benefits of eggs in a clever, surprising and breakthrough way.â€
This video is funny… and awkward. At one point you may even think you’re watching a commercial for a new Kevin Bacon cologne that smells like breakfast. (Excuse me for a minute while I pitch that idea to Shark Tank.)
While the star known for Footloose and The Following is getting his egg on, I have to say I have two issues with this video:
1. Kevin Bacon is on a kitchen counter while wearing boots. EW. Not clean.
2. Kevin Bacon doesn’t like puns.
