Ken Marino to Join the Mafia in AGENT CARTER Season 2

Our dreams we didn’t know we had came true today. Ken Marino, the nicest funny human on this here Earth-planet—this is science and also a fact—has joined the cast of the second season of ABC and Marvel’s delightful series, Agent Carter in a recurring role, according to a report from Variety. Peggy Carter, you may have met your hilarious match (also: can you two please do a dubsmash soon?). Ugh hurry up and get here already, you goddamn glorious show, you!

According to Marvel, Marino will play “Joseph Manfredi, a volatile leader in the Maggia crime syndicate who will help Peggy Carter’s adversaries further their agenda.” Which, yes. Oh and also please.

“We’ve loved working with Ken ever since he played a gay ex-demon for us on Reaper, and we were so happy he was available for this role,” said Executive Producers Tara Butters, Chris Dingess, and Michele Fazekas in a statement. “His range is incredible – he can go from comedy to romance to drama with ease. Writing for him is easy, because he can do pretty much anything. And he used to have a karaoke room in his house, which makes him even more awesome.” (Hey Ken: feel free to come over to Nerdist HQ for a karaoke war any time.)

“At Marvel, even our villains need a certain degree of charm as they make life difficult for our heroes,” said Jeph Loeb, executive producer and head of Marvel Television. “Ken brings a quality to Joseph Manfredi that only serves to make him even more menacing, adding another layer of depth to our already outstanding supporting cast.”

Needless to say, our bodies are ready for this. What do you think of the news? Let us know in the comments.
