This KEANU Spoof Trailer is A Freakin’ Feline Frenzy

Nothing makes sense anymore… Not because of a bad break up or anything like that though, but because this new Keanu spoof trailer is full of cats in replacement of people. But maybe that means everything makes purrrrrfect sense?! (Sorry.)

Although we received our first glimpse of Keanu—the upcoming action-comedy movie from Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key—about three months ago, we’re now getting a new spoof trailer to whet our appetite for what is bound to be a ridiculous John Wick-like flick with plenty of gun (and hopefully kitten) play. But check your cat allergies at the door before watching this clip because this spoof packs plenty of floof.

Keanu, for those who haven’t yet familiarized themselves with the feline-centered story, is about cousins and best friends Rell (Peele) and Clarence (Key), who find themselves on a dangerous, violent adventure after Rell’s cat, Keanu (a post break-up heart healer of a pet), goes missing and ends up with a gangster outlaw played by Method Man. Along the way, the duo encounters a bevy of characters from the underbelly of society played by various recognizable faces including Luis Guzman, Jason Mitchell, Tiffany Haddish, Nia Long, and Will Forte.

The film is directed by Peter Atencio (who worked with Key and Peele on their Comedy Central series), is co-written by Peele and Alex Rubens (writer on Community, Rick and Morty), and is set to claw its way into theaters on April 29.

What are your thoughts about Keanu and this gritty, kitty spoof trailer? Let us know if all this not making sense makes total sense to you in the comments below!
