What are you doing with your life? Is it extreme enough? Trick question, your life can never be extreme enough.

But Full Contact Skydiving might just get you close. The sport, which is in its infancy, promises a blend of skydiving and mixed martial arts for no-holds-barred aerial combat. Mixing the heretofore unknown styles of “Norweigan Jiu Jitsu” and the muay thai-based “Skuay Tai,” Full Contact Skydiving promises to bring together the danger of throwing yourself out of a plane with the thrill of trying to cave in another person’s eye socket.

Calling the sport “a way of life,” the FCS page explains why you too will want to get into a fight in midair.

“Whether your goal is to improve your ability to defend yourself mid free-fall, or compete with the best vertical contenders on earth, the physical and mental benefits of FCS are undeniable. You’ll build confidence, self-assurance, core strength, overall health and wellness. Full Contact Skydiving is the most exciting sport on earth… in the sky.”

The “sport” has attracted UFC and WEC superstar Urijah Faber, who offers some training to would-be brawlers in the introductory video below.

There’s one hiccup: the average skydive lasts about 60-70 seconds (not including the 3-4 minutes for the parachute drop). That doesn’t leave potential combatants a lot of time to beat the snot out of one another.

Still, it’s got me thinking: what other extreme sports would mix well? Archery and motorcross? Fire-based capoeira? Rollerball vs. robot fighters? The possibilities are endless.
