Journey Beyond Flavortown in “MAD MAX: FIERI ROAD”

His hair is a pale shade of blonde not found in nature. He wears bizarre apparel designed to strike fear into the hearts of all reasonable human beings who cross his path. He roams the wasteland in his custom vehicles, searching for anything that strikes his fancy to consume and ravage for his own, while building his reputation as master of a horrifying, apocalyptic world.

I’m speaking, of course, of Immortan Joe, the villain from the new Mad Max movie. But admit it–you thought I was describing somebody else. And it seems YouTuber jumblejimble saw the same similarities, as he has brought Food Network’s Guy Fieri into the world of the War Boys to check out some Diners (on death), Drive-Ins (to walls, mountainsides, and other cars), and Dives (off moving trucks).

Fieri’s show–“Triple D,” to its fans–is resolutely positive, and the way he comes off as downright oblivious to the horrors of the Citadel plays on every stereotype anyone has ever had about the flame-shirted, self-styled “Mayor of Flavortown.” (Though having written all that, I now want to see Gordon Ramsay show up to critique the cleanliness of Immortan Joe’s breast-pumps.)

Sing with me, now:

“He will eat another gyro
He will find a place to chow down
All he loves is stuffing his face, in Flavortown!”

Would Guy Fieri have a fighting chance on Fieri Road? How would Paula Deen fare against Imperator Furiosa? And will you want a drink as badly as Immortan Joe’s subjects, when all is said and done?

Max out our comments with your madness below.
