“Jonah Raydio” Wants Your Music. Now.

In case you missed the announcements on the Nerdist Podcast, your friend and mine Jonah Ray is going to be putting his discerning musical tastes to good use on a new podcast on the Nerdist Podcast Network. Jonah Raydio won’t be just music — he decribes it as “like a radio show. I’ll be playing music, telling stories, interviewing people, etc.” — but there’ll be music, and it’ll the kind of stuff he likes and thinks you should hear.

“Hold on,” you say, “I just happen to be a musician and I think Jonah would like my music and I would very much like to submit my songs to Jonah, that he may play it on the new podcast.” You talk real funny, you know that? But if I’m interpretin’ correct-like, you want to send Jonah your music for possible inclusion on Jonah Raydio. YOU CAN DO THAT.

Here’s how. Jonah prefers getting a physical copy of your music, especially accompanied by sleeve art. Send that record or CD with some info about the music and you to:

Jonah Raydio
c/o Meltdown Comics
7522 Sunset Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90046

You can also email an MP3 or a link to your music to [email protected].

One more thing, a disclaimer, from Jonah himself: “You have to be the representative or creator of the music you send. By doing so, you will give me complete permission to play anything you send me on Jonah Raydio which is part of the Nerdist Podcast Network.” Yeah.

Look for Jonah Raydio soon right here at Nerdist, soon. When, I don’t know, but soon, he says. Exciting. Intriguing, even.

hey Jonah, you’re a busy man, I know, but letting us know about a Nick D interview and not posting it is painful. I really do look forward to this podcast. If you don’t get around to the podcast, could you send me a file of the interview–I would keep it under wraps, of course. All best, man.

Also Vicky, above, did you mean “vapours”?

Can the song be a bit that’s a song. But also bit. That’s a song. Which is a bit that’s a song that’s also a bit.

    It’s a song.

This is going to be very cool. Jonah took the time out to answer a question I had about cover bands. (I sing in one) I totally understand why he won’t play music from them. Looking forward to hearing original music from the talented folks out there. Being in a cover band is a lot of fun. Doing original tunes…I applaud bands who do this.

This is amazing news! I don’t care about my music being heard by all the Nerdist community, I just care about JONAH hearing my music! This is going to be awesome…
