Join the B.P.R.D. with Relics from Skelton Crew Studio

The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.) collects strange talismans, amulets, and all manner of relics. Coming across such items is part of the job when you’re fighting occult threats. Over the years, Hellboy and his many co-workers have battled ghosts, frog monsters, witches – you name it. The pages of Hellboy and B.P.R.D. creator Mike Mignola’s stories are filled with the wonderful and bizarre. And thanks to prop replicas from Skelton Crew Studios, you can pretend you had epic adventures alongside the B.P.R.D. agents in the comics.

Skelton Crew Studios makes the officially licensed props to closely resemble what you see on comic book pages. Their Hellboy/B.P.R.D. collection currently includes the Ogdru Jahad Amulet, Vasilisa’s comb and handkerchief, Bog Roosh’s nail, elf shot, Agrippa’s charm, and Bishop Zrinyi’s Silver Button. Some of those items are available to purchase now, and some have just been listed for pre-order.

To get an idea of how the relics compare to the illustrations in the comics, look at the featured image of the Ogdru Jahad Amulet above and this image from Hellboy: The Island:

Neat, huh?

The quality doesn’t stop with the 1:1 scale relics. The packaging is designed in such a way that it looks like the items have been dug up from a dusty room in the B.P.R.D. archives. They come with detailed catalog tags and in boxes labeled with the B.P.R.D. symbol. In an interview with Multiversity Comics, co-owner of Skelton Crew, Israel Skelton, says that’s the idea. He worked closely with Mignola and states, “When Mike and I were first talking about the line, we both had the same ideas on how the Artifact Archive should look and feel and wanted the replica to transcend and extend into the packaging as well.”

Will you be collecting any of these items from Skelton Crew Studio? Let us know in the comments.
