Less than a year from now, Arnold Schwarzenegger will step back into the role that made him famous thanks to the forthcoming franchise reboot, Terminator: Genisys. It was thirty years ago the actor dawned his now iconic leather jacket and sunglasses as The T-800, a killer cyborg sent back in time to kill the mother of its enemy, John Connor. Directed by a young James Cameron, the film went on to become the franchise we know and love today. So, in celebration of its three decade anniversary, fans are now being offered an amazing opportunity to experience the film on the big screen later next month.
On Wednesday, October 15, at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger and writer/executive producer Gale Anne Hurd will partake in a screening of the iconic film, which will be immediately followed by a Q&A moderated by journalist Geoff Boucher. âThe Terminator was my first baby, and I’m pleased that people still remember it enough to celebrate its birth 30 years ago,â Cameron said, adding, âof course I’ll be there!â â[The film] has tremendous sentimental value to me personally and I take great pride in knowing that fans continue to support [it] 30 years later,â said Hurd.
If youâre a fan of killer robots, then this is one screening you should make sure to not miss. The stories Cameron and Hurd have told over the years about the behind the scenes events of the film are so grand that we have to imagine some new information will come to light at the screening.
Tickets for the event are available at fandango.com for $25. American Cinematheque members can purchase tickets beginning today, with general admission tickets going on sale September 25.

wow, my three boys grew up on this movie. We all watched it together, over and over again. VERY happy times. Thankyou so much!!!
The story has been great since that time and he definitely outdid Robocop (it’s remake was terrible!), but the honest truth is that Arnie is just getting old (no offense intended) and I think he needs to step back a bit, or step down…..unless he is in greater shape than I realize and I need to keep my “honest opinion” to myself and he is still doing awesome!
In that case, I would need to say keep going strong. You are the terminator and you always will be! No one can be back like A. S.
Your a nerd lol step down ??? Arnold ??? And u are who ?
na the robocop remake was good,i liked it and i didnt think terminator 1 was much better then robocop one
I wish so much!
Is this for US admission only or can international fans (e.g. UK fans) buy tickets and come along?
