Ti West’s latest feature, The Sacrament, will be released on iTunes and VOD on May 1 and begins its theatrical run on June 6, but that doesn’t mean that West isn’t hard at work on his next film. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Academy Award nominees John Travolta and Ethan Hawke have signed up to star in In a Valley of Violence. According to THR, West “is writing and will direct the project, which is described as a revenge Western film set in the 1890s.”
In a Valley of Violence will be produced for Blumhouse Productions by Jason Blum, Jacob Jaffke and Peter Phok. Hawke has previously worked with Blumhouse on the horror hits Sinister and The Purge. Travolta was one of the stars of Brian De Palma’s Carrie but hasn’t returned to the genre since.
The Sacrament, produced by Eli Roth, opens in theaters on June 6.
