John Boyega Goes Nuts Over the Millennium Falcon in New STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Clip

John Boyega has made no secret about his love for all things Star Wars. And in a newly released behind-the-scenes clip from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Boyega is particularly giddy to see a life-size version of Han Solo’s iconic ship, the Millennium Falcon, for the first time!

Ever since the Millennium Falcon debuted in the original Star Wars, it’s been a dream of many fans to explore the ship itself. Apparently, that dream was shared by Boyega, and his joy is infectious when viewing the video. In an interview filmed later, Boyega recalls that the props team asked, “Can you control him?” after he went running around the ship and handling the props, including Luke Skywalker’s training ball.

This video is a small part of the feature-length documentary, The Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey, which is included with the Digital HD and Blu-ray release. Director J.J. Abrams cameos in this clip, telling Boyega, “I told you you were in Star Wars!” Boyega’s co-star, Daisy Ridley is also glimpsed in the video with a very wide smile on her face.

Fans who don’t want to wait around for the physical copy of The Force Awakens can purchase the film this Friday on Digital HD. The Blu-ray and DVD combo pack of Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be available the following Tuesday, April 3.

What did you think about the video of Boyega’s first Millennium Falcon experience? What would you do if you had the chance to explore that ship? Use the Force, and share your thoughts in the comment section below!
