Our lovely queen of the wizarding world took to Twitter recently to clear up some questions from fans. First off, never worry that the government in the American wizarding world is as confusing as the American government system. (I mean, have you been following the election cycle for 2016??)
I’m sorry to say but there will be no wizarding world of Harry Potter on our television screens anytime in the future. As JK Rowling put it herself, “Right after the opera, Potter-on-ice and the interpretative dance version of Beedle the Bard…” It’s just not meant to be, unfortunately.

But it’s okay. If this tweet gives you just as many nightmares as it gives me, it also gives Rowling the same dream.
To all those begging for Potter-on-Ice: the image of Ice Voldemort performing the triple salchow will haunt my dreams tonight. #sick â J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) August 8, 2015
But back to the whole political thing! As excited as we all are for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, I have to admit that I wasn’t sure how America was going to translate for the rest of the wizarding fans in the world. (We don’t always make the best impressions TBH.) But don’t worry. The wizard government will be a bit more understandable for everyone because it will be a single body government according to the world’s creator.
.@PauliePoBoy No, it’s a single body.

So, hopefully American wizarding politics will come off better than American regular politics. And as just one more final wonderful bit of joy from Rowling’s twitter feed, I have to say I agree with her statement about tea even though I’m a very skilled American tea maker myself.
First interview question: are you American? I say this with love, but I cannot trust an American to make me tea. https://t.co/m067KtXCPU

Do you know how to make a good cup of tea? You should totally learn if only to become JK Rowling’s personal tea maker. Obviously.
