Jensen Ackles Finds the SUPERNATURAL Season 1 Impala

Supernatural will be entering its 11th season this fall (you can read my SDCC roundtable interviews with the cast here), and over the years, we have seen Sam and Dean Winchester evolve from a couple of young kids fighting ghosts and monsters to seasoned veteran hunters who save the world on a consistent basis.

Even though the Winchester Brothers have grown over the years, there have been some constants: one of them dies and comes back to life at least once every other year, and the Chevy Impala that acts as their Batmobile.

Within the show, they’ve been using the same car since day one, and restoring it each time it gets destroyed. In the real world, not so much. There have been several versions of the car since the series began in 2005. In a recent Facebook post, Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) was filming and came across the very FIRST edition of the Winchester Impala. Supernatural fans might remember that in the Season 1 finale, the car was T-boned by a demon-driven semi, crushing the car and almost killing Dean, Sam (Jared Padalecki), and their father John (Jeffery Dean Morgan).

Take a look at the pictures below. Its seems that there wasn’t enough “movie magic” to save the car.

Leave it to Jensen Ackles to still look like a badass behind the wheel of a rusted car with shrubbery growing out of it.

So what do you think? Are there any other Supernatural props you’d like to see in a “Where Are They Now?” post? Let me know on Twitter or in the comments below.
