James Franco & Seth Rogen Are Wannabe Assassins in THE INTERVIEW Trailer

Real-life best friends James Franco and Seth Rogen are back as on-screen BFFs in their new action comedy The Interview, coming out in October. This time, instead of their drug dealer/buyer dynamic or versions of themselves trying to survive the apocalypse, Franco and Rogen have upgraded to assassins and are looking to save the world from North Korea’s supreme leader, Kim Jong-Un. If a pair of highly trained assassins doesn’t coincide with your image of Franco and Rogen, don’t worry. They’re not actually playing highly trained CIA operatives. You’ll be happy to know that they’re still the same ol’ goofballs they’ve been playing for the last few years.

Written and directed by the comedy machine duo of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, The Interview has Franco and Rogen portraying hosts of celebrity dish show that Kim Jong-Un just so happens to be a fan of. They land an interview with him, but the CIA has other plans. They’re recruited and tasked with disposing of the supreme leader, even though they might just blow the whole operation from fist bumping too much. Lizzy Caplan also plays a handler of sorts that has to deal with these two nuts who happen to have the fate of the entire world in their hands.

The very first teaser trailer was posted last night. Judging from the 1 minute and 41 seconds we saw, The Interview should be a boisterously funny, action-packed romp of a movie, perhaps a little reminiscent of Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.

Never mind this idiotic sideshow. The real disaster in Asia (with catastrophic global impact) is Japan and its official cover-up of the ongoing Fukushima Daichi nuclear armageddon.

3 of the 4 nuclear plants at the Daichi site are in real China Syndrome mode. The fourth is a wreck threatening to topple over at any time and turn into an uncontianed and usnstoppable nuclear fission pile.

Japan is clearly unable to cope with this end-times nuclear catastrophe. The nation should be stripped of its national soverignity and a global nuclear emergency council needs to take charge of this very real threat to the future existence of all life on the planet.
