  1. Theresa says:

    Yay, James Bonding is back!

  2. Euan Flyming says:

Talents like Matt Gourley and Larry Miller, every time they open their mouths, there is a chance for comic gold by the end of the sentence. You never know what is coming, because they have inventive, original minds.

If they aren’t allowed to finish their sentences, you (who shall not be named) are f’ing over their art. And for what? To promote your derivative drive-time gab?

  3. Daevid says:

Yes, yes, oh my god yes. “All Time High” is the worst. And “You Know My Name” might be my favorite, but “Nobody Does it Better” has to be up there too…

  4. Charlie says:

Good episode. Not gonna lie, though, I think Matt Mira’s judgments were a little…. excessive. Although I could be saying that partly because I tend to agree with Gourley’s opinions. But again, very good episode.

    • Joe says:

I have a similar gripe actually, listening through the series again it feels more apparent and not just on this episode.  I like Matt Mira, he makes me laugh.  I don’t like that he has a such a problem with people not holding the same opinions as himself.  It’s just silly little rules for everyone else it seems.  You can’t have ‘the new guy’ as your favorite Bond or you can’t like the Chris Cornell song as two examples.  There’s some room in the name of keeping things humorous  to be a little snippy or particular about things but sometimes it’s just too much.  And as Gourley rightly states he doesn’t get bent out of shape when Mira has a different opinion, so it’d be nice for that to go both ways a little more.

  5. vince says:

FANTASTIC! I’m so glad you’re back, and with a great LIVE ep too!
But man, I’m going to be THAT guy, and defend the Vanquish/Vanish from Die Another Day. That is not impossible technology by any means – it was one of those things that was talked about back then, but is only now actually becoming used. The cameras taking video of one side and projecting it onto a material that can act as a screen on the other? FOR EXAMPLE…

(God, if that is mis-typed, I’ll be pissed. WHY NERDIST!? Why won’t you let me Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V this URL?)
Google the “Tower Infinity” near Seoul Korea, that is currently under construction. It’s a MUCH bigger example of the Vanish. Plus it had John Cleese! That movie is terrible, but you can’t hate that thing. It’s such a sexy car regardless. God. Give credit where credit is due! Fine the diamond in the turd! Jeez!
    😀
Glad to have you back, guys! I look forward to another ep two months from now!

  6. Todd Mason says:

And I’ll note the late, brilliant Damon Knight, who wrote the (rather better) short story “To Serve Man” the TZ episode (and every ripoff and remake) is based on…

  7. Fastbak77 says:

Lewis Gilbert directed MOONRAKER, not John Glen.

  8. Russell says:

Catching one of these episodes is like seeing bigfoot. Except these exist.

  9. Sheila says:

Ooh, Matt wants to roll around in front of the fire with me during that one song!

  10. Random Task says:

Great episode! Enjoyed the loose format as a refreshing twist. Larry Miller was awesome, so thankful he’s still with us. I could totally listen to a super episode with Larry, Greg Proops, and Amanda and Maria. Wow what an episode that would be. Thank you Matts!

  11. Someone please tweet this to the Matts The Prop Store has some James Bond items up for auction http://www.propstore.com/products/?keyword=james%20bond

  12. Random Task says:

Oh yes! Sweet, glorious James Bonding fix!

  13. Wildride says:

The simplest way to explain Baccarat: It’s Blackjack with a limit of three cards — Played modulus 10.

  14. JOY OF JOYS! New James Bonding is good news to a beleaguered world. I look forward to shoving this into my earholes.
