Itâs James Bond Weekend, and Spectre is finally out in theaters! Thanks to Spectre, Dave Bautista is joining the pantheon of Bond villains as Mr. Hinx, and Christoph Waltzâs primary adversary will also make an impression on audiences.
To celebrate the latest 007 film, Phil Whitehead has created a new supercut of the Bond villains laughing with sinister glee. Maniacal laughing is probably their favorite thing to do after expositional monologuing and placing Bond in seemingly inescapable deathtraps. But it always comes back to the laugh, the chuckle, or the arrogant grins of the men and women who go up against Bond. Very few of Bondâs enemies ever make it out of his movies alive, but at least they have fun tormenting Britain’s top secret agent. It just wouldnât be the same if they didnât enjoy their villainy!Â
For this supercut, Whitehead pulled footage from 20 of the 24 Bond films, including Thunderball, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, and Diamonds Are Forever.
Several of the memorable Bond villains make an appearance here, including Telly Savalas as Ernst Stavro Blofeld, Max Zorin (Christopher Walken), Baron Samedi (Geoffrey Holder), Xenia Onatopp (Famke Janssen), and of course, Jaws (Richard Kiel). Even Nick Nack (Hervé Villechaize) is in there more than once, but itâs Jaws who has the best laugh. Thereâs just something about those metal teeth that makes Jawsâ laughter even funnier.
Which Bond villain do you think has the best maniacal laugh? Prepare your deathtraps and share your thoughts in the comment section below!
