It seems like every passing week brings us a new Marvel trailer to get excited about, and this week was no exception. Marvel and Sony just turned out the first big trailer for their upcoming joint production, Spider-Man: Far From Home. The trailer comes just a month after Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse shattered expectations and became an instantly beloved animated flick. This new live-action trailer raises the question: Is there such a thing as too much Spider-Man?
Your opinions may vary, but hopefully there is one thing we can agree on: Jake Gyllenhaal looks totally badass and hunky as Mysterio. The fishbowl-helmet-wearing baddie pops up at the end of the Far From Home trailer, marking his arrival by shooting green smoke out of his hands and warning Peter Parker (Tom Holland) not to get involved in the big Elementals battle going on in downtown London, where Parker is on a school trip.
Gyllenhaal’s much hyped about appearance as Mysterio set the internet ablaze after the trailer debuted, bumping the character’s name up to the No. 1 trending spot and inspired a slew of thirsty reactions, memes, and excitement. Here are some of our favorite social media reactions to Mysterio.
