It’s the Nerdist Theater at Meltdown Roundup!

It’s Friday, so it’s time for another update on what’s happening at Nerdist Theater at Meltdown this week! Do your best to stay calm, and let’s jump in!

Saturday, April 16th, we are super excited for a live performance of We’re Alive, the insanely popular audio series about a zombie apocalypse. You’ll hear a reading of Chapter 1, “It Begins”, a Q and A panel hosted by Greg Miller from IGN and Brittney Brombacher from “We’re Not Dead”. They might just give out a prize or two if you can answer some trivia. Joining the WND hosts and actors from the series will be Kc Wayland (Writer and Director) and Shane Salk (Co-Creator and Producer). They might talk about some of the more recent episodes, so NOW is a good time to get caught up on the show!

Tickets are just $10, get them here!

Sunday, April 17th it’s another installment of the very popular Adult Writers Seminar Series. Each week they bring in some of the best TV writers in existence to talk about writing, success, failure, and everything else. Then they take questions. This week, we’ve got Matt Nix, David Schulner, and Peter Tolan. Tickets are just $12, and they do sell out early.

Wednesday, April 20th, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail is back! This week, the boys welcome Andrea Savage, Dominic Dierkes, Ali Wong, Howard Kremer, Ed Greer, Nikki Glaser, and Garfunkel and Oates! Just $8 gets you all this comedy and more!

Thursday, April 21st, we’re having our first ever Nerdist Sketch Night featuring Diani and Devine and Stratton, Varney, Nash and Young!

Gabriel Diani and Etta Devine dated for five years before deciding their careers were more important than any damage working together could have on their relationship. Admiring the groundbreaking comedians of the 50’s and 60’s like Nichols and May, Bill Cosby, and Bob Newhart, they set out to create an act that was smart, funny, and (relatively) clean.

Cole Stratton is the co-host of Rolling Stone‘s #2 Best Comedy Podcast, Pop My Culture, and Janet Varney is the co-host of TBS’ long-running Friday staple, Dinner and a Movie. Together they’re co-founders of SF Sketchfest, the San Francisco Comedy Festival. And along with the photoshopped images of Graham Nash and Neil Young, they are Stratton, Varney, Nash & Young.

$10 for tickets- get them while they’re hot!

Stay tuned until next Friday for another update on how we’re closing out our first month of operation with a bang! Follow us on Twitter (@nerdmelt) for all the details you could ever want!
