It’s Poe Dameron’s Time to Shine in New FORCE AWAKENS Poster

It’s hard to believe that two weeks from today, the majority of us will be able to say “I’ve seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens!” All this waiting and anticipation will finally be over. Of the MANY things we’ll be talking about is the role of Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron. From the multitude of trailers that have been released, he has had the least amount of screen time from the group of new characters. It’s finally time to get a closer look at Poe in his new character poster.

I am not sure what he’s looking at, but it probably doesn’t mean good things for the Resistance.

The few things we do know about Poe is that he is the son of Shara Bey and Kes Dameron, who both fought for the Rebellion against the Empire. They were first introduced in the Marvel mini-series Journey to The Force Awakens: Shattered Empire, which takes place directly following the destruction of the Death Star II and Ewok celebration. Poe is currently the leader of the X-Wing Black Squadron against the First Order. The blue milk doesn’t fall far from the pitcher, I guess (I’m sorry).

While we aren’t sure of Poe’s true destiny as part of the Star Wars universe just yet, the good news is we don’t have long to wait to find out.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens everywhere December 18.

So what do you think? Are you surprised Dameron’s role in Force Awakens is still mostly a mystery? Are they saving something for the actual viewing of the film (novel idea)? Let me know on Twitter or begin your trench run into the comments below.
