IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA’s 11th Season Teaser Hits All Our Senses

“We’re mainlining wine, it’s not beer, we can’t mainline beer because it’s got bubbles in it.”

“We tried, it was bad.”

Oh, how I’ve missed you, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Fortunately, we won’t have to be without the Paddy’s Pub gang for much longer, because they return for season 11 (yeah, 11) in January, and FXX has given us a new teaser for the season that shows their depravity will appeal to all of our senses.

If you thought wine in a can was a brilliant move, wine in an I.V. bag is its much more efficient descendant. (Though you don’t have the freedom to gesture quite as much, you do save countless time and energy.)

The short commercial offers plenty to look forward to, like Frank in another ridiculous get-up, a (somehow) even more messed-up Cricket, punching strangers, more adventures in terrible people traveling, as well as plenty of other opportunities for them all to hurt themselves, but nothing quite gets my hopes up for the season as this image of noted cat-enthusiast-possibly-turned-ladycat Maureen Ponderosa in a courtroom.

The truncated seasons (last year was only ten episodes) are a huge part of why It’s Always Sunny is still so good (last year was excellent), but to still be churning out an amazing comedy after a decade is really incredible.

The new season premieres Wednesday, January 6th on FXX.
