It’s been a busy 48 hours for the good folks at DC and Warner Bros. Ever since news broke the studio was planning to release three films a year starting in 2016, one of which would be a Justice League film in 2017, speculation as to which characters will be making an appearance have run rampant across he interwebs. Currently, we know Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will feature the two DC staples, Wonder Woman and Cyborg. The goal of their appearance is reportedly to set them up for the 2017 slated Justice League follow-up. But what of the rest of the cast? Well, it seems another player has been added to the roster.
While WB has yet to make it official, the folks at Hitfix are reporting Jason Momoa’s set to play Aquaman, and his first appearance will in fact be in Batman v. Superman. In addition, the site also claims “[Director] Zack Snyder has already finalized his designs for the character so shooting can take place soon.†Since the film’s already in production, that “soon†has to be really soon, as in there may be a possibility of an official look at Momoa in costume in the near future.
As for story context, this is what the site had to say about the character’s appearance: “I’m not sure if [Aquaman]’s the actual name they’ll use or not, but what we’re hearing is that he is not pleased about the World Engine and what it did to the Indian Ocean. He will not have a major role in the film, but he will make an appearance, and it definitely sets him up to return once Snyder gets to Justice League.â€
Two years ago no one would have believed any of this was real, but as the days to comic-con shorten, it’s becoming obvious Warner Bros. is ready to play a serious game of catch-up with Marvel, and Momoa is another piece on the gaming board.

I’m so sick of DC’s false promises because they’re embarrassed by their own material. First, they promised a Green Arrow TV show but only delivered a show called “Arrow” about a guy called “The Hood” or “The Arrow.” Then they promised a Superman movie but instead made a movie about a callous, indifferent guy named Man of Steel or something who just happens to have Superman’s powers. Now, they’re promising an Aquaman movie that might not even have Aquaman in it. Fuck you! Marvel made a movie called Thor for fuck’s sake! They didn’t apologize for it; they embraced it. And it was a fun movie. Marvel’s also making a movie called “Ant Man” about a guy called “Ant Man” and a movie starring a taking raccoon!

Kirsten Dunst went blonde to redhead for Spiderman, Chris Evens from brown hair to blonde for Cap and FF,Emma Stone brunette to blonde for Amazing 1 and 2 Mamoa can go blonde for this role. and honestly i’d like to see a stand alone Aquaman movie . he won’t even have to shave his beard. maybe grow it out more for the bearded look. but all in all i would rather see as i stated in another post.
