It’s Wrestlemania weekend, so we expect some big, exciting surprises from the ringside world. What we didn’t expect is for these surprises to have anything to do with the Blade Runner sequel.
That’s just what we got today, though, when former WWE champion and Guardians of the Galaxy‘s own Drax the Destroyer, Dave Bautista, sent out a tweet that can only mean one of two things: 1) he is releasing his own book of tiny origami, or (and this is our operating theory right now) 2) it will soon be announced that he is joining the cast of Blade Runner 2.
I can't wait to share some really exciting news… pic.twitter.com/fI2VjDjcXM

Maybe you’ve never seen Blade Runner (remedy that immediately, and in my opinion go with 2007’s Final Cutâthe one that director Ridley Scott had complete control over), or it’s been quite awhile since you watched it and only vaguely remember something about little tiny pieces of folded paper, but this certainly seems like a not very-subtle tease that he will be joining the cast. Those little paper animals played a very important role in the original film by letting us know just who may have been a replicant… whether they realized it or not.
That’s a good looking unicorn!
Bautista is currently filming Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but the long awaited sequelâwith a returning Harrison Ford as Deckard, along with Ryan Gosling and Robin Wrightâdoesn’t begin filming until this July.
Who could the big man play? The terrifying Roy Batty won’t be around for a sequel, so might Drax be the next replicant that needs to be retired?
Assuming this really isn’t just about origami.
