INSIDE OUT Hints at Pixar’s Future

It’s been a cold, Pixar-less year, but with 2015 fast approaching we have not one but two new movies to look forward to! We got our first look at Inside Out, Pixar‘s Summer release, and it’s…made up mostly of footage from other Pixar movies? Despite the excellent, comedian-packed voice cast (seriously, we’ve got the whole spectrum here, from Mindy Kaling to Lewis Black to Amy Poehler), the teaser for Inside Out features just two or three lines of dialogue from their next film, and a microscopic scene. While your character designs are stellar as always, Pixar, we’re withholding judgment until we see some more!

Join Jessica Chobot on today’s Nerdist News as she breaks down the Inside Out teaser, analyzes what it might say about Pixar‘s future, and offers a hopeful take on how the studio’s most original film in years might pan out.

  1. Heydare says:

I’m so glad you said it, Chobot. Brave is one of the most over-rated Pixar movies. It won the Best Animated Feature at the Oscars which does not compute as it was up against Wreck It Ralph, a far superior movie.
That being said I will watch anything Pixar throws at me.

  2. Adam says:

I love BRAVE. It’s one of my all time favourites. Chobot, i respectfully disagree.

  3. SAMEER says:

Not many people know this, but the sequel to The Incredibles is coming out in 2017.

  4. B says:

Planes is a not a Pixar movie. Disney spin off from Cars. Strictly Disney, not Pixar.

  5. Adam Wilson says:

Though it is strictly a kids movie, Pixar did release Planes: Fire & Rescue this Summer. Also, the first real Inside Out trailer should drop with Big Hero 6 which will give us more to chew on…like bear mom.
