Inked Wednesday #93 – BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, BSG, and More

If you aren’t up for covering yourself in nerdy ink from head to toe, maybe you’re in the position to add that ink to others? That’s what Chris Johnson gets to do. He’s a tattoo artist based at Dice and Dagger Tattoo in New York City. He’s been working the field since 2008 and as a geek into sci-fi/fantasy literature, video games, and comics, he brings an expert touch to designs related to those topics for his clients.

His portfolio on Instagram shows off colorful tattoos, and I’ve picked a few of them to include in this week’s Inked Wednesday. This Batman: The Animated Series sleeve showing Batman and his rogues is gorgeous:

And you don’t see enough of Number Six from Battlestar Galactica or Dr. Doom in tattoos:

Take a trip to the gallery below to see more of Chris’ work. There’s a full Nintendo-themed sleeve, a glowing Sting from Lord of the Rings, Iron Man, and more.

Do you have any geeky tattoos inspired by pop culture, science, or other stuff? Then please share them with me so I can include them in a future Inked Wednesday gallery. You can get them to me by leaving links to pics of your ink in the comments, tagging or mentioning me on Instagram (but not direct messages, please), or sending photos to me on Twitter. Also, you can email me at alratcliffe at yahoo dot com. Don’t forget to let me know the name of your tattoo artist because credit is good and maybe someone else will be inspired to get ink by him or her.
