Have you ever considered getting a tattoo that also doubles as cosplay? I hadn’t until I saw Robert Black’s submission for Inked Wednesday. His tattoo was inspired by Legend of Zelda and fits over his shoulder. He has permanent armor. Such a design isn’t for the faint of heart, but if you’re committed, suit up! I love all the nods to the game that are incorporated into the armor piece:

When you think about it, body paint is sort of a sub-category of cosplay. Talented makeup artists paint on clothes, armor, and everything in between. This is just a permanent application of that concept, more or less. It has to be a blast to show this ink off at the beach or pool.
Keep scrolling because there are more creative and lovely tattoos in the below gallery. You’ll find ink from Jurassic Park, Pacific Rim, and even a design inspired by Geek & Sundry’s Critical Role.
Do you have tattoos inspired by pop culture, science, or something nerdy? I want to see them so I can include them in a future Inked Wednesday round-up. You can share them with me by leaving links to pics of your ink in the comments, tagging or mentioning me on Instagram (not direct messages though, please), or sending photos to me on Twitter. You can even email me at alratcliffe at yahoo dot com. Don’t forget to let me know the tattoo artist who did the work so I can share credit, because credit is cool, man.
