Where did people share fan art before the Internet? Social media platforms make it easier than ever for artists to post their work featuring original characters and characters from other franchises. Fan art lives in its own category now, and some pieces and series become so popular that fans of the fan art turn their favorites into tattoos. The ink featured just below is a perfect example. The art the tattoo is based on was done by Karen Hallion. She created a series combining Star Wars with the iconic stretching portraits in Disney’s Haunted Mansion. This one is titled “Leia’s Corruptible Mortal State.”

Mae did an impressive job of capturing the colors.
