INHUMANS Casts Medusa, STAR WARS REBELS Intros Mon Mothma, and More TV News

Medusa. Mon Mothma. It happens to be a cool-female-characters-with-names-starting-with-“M” kind of day. Today’s TV-Cap has an update about who’s playing Medusa in Inhumans, a clip from Star Wars Rebels featuring Mon Mothma, a poster for season three of iZombie, and more.

Yes, Queen. Medusa’s the Inhuman I’m most familiar with, so I’ve been curious about who they would cast as the Queen of the Inhumans in the upcoming Marvel series. We can all stop wondering because Marvel’s announced that Serinda Swan has landed the Inhumans role and all the hair that comes with it. [Nerdist]

Different Day… Just like yesterday, I also have a casting update on the untitled Fox X-Men pilot. Natalie Alyn Lind has joined as a series regular; she’ll play one of the kids on the run, named Lauren. [Variety]

Ready to Fight. iZombie returns to The CW on April 4 with season three–not soon enough in my opinion. Anyway, the promo wheels are starting to turn with this dramatic “Zombies Unite” poster serving as the first key art for the upcoming season. [CBR, Image: The CW]

Visiting National City. Speaking of iZombie, actor Rahul Kohli will take a break from his role on that series to play a possible villain. He’s stopping by Supergirl to portray tech genius Jack Spheer. Among other things, Jack is Lena’s ex. Kohli will appear in the 18th episode of the second season. [TV Guide]

In the Ring. Sometimes I forget that Netflix is bringing a story about women’s wrestling in the ’80s to the screen, and for that I’m sorry. They’ve released a brief teaser for GLOW, and there is so much glitter and spandex. It’s glorious. The show will arrive on June 23. [A.V. Club]

Iron Fist FYI. Netflix’s Iron Fist will arrive on March 17, and Kristy talked to the cast about the characters, their background, and the white dude in the room. Check it out above. [Nerdist]

Merch the Occasion. March 10 marks the 20th anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Fox Consumer Products is saying happy birthday in style with a pile of new merchandise across vendors such as Dark Horse and Hot Topic. They have items modeled on outfits characters wore in the series, books, and more. View a gallery of offerings here at Nerdist.

Alliance Time. Since its beginning, Star Wars Rebels has been focused on the rebellion coming together. In the next episode, “Secret Cargo,” we’re probably going to see the first official meeting. The above teaser brings in Mon Mothma, voiced by Genevieve O’Reilly–she portrayed Mon in Rogue One. Mon talks about bringing together the different factions of rebels together as an alliance. “Secret Cargo” airs on March 4.

Moving Up. Note for The Man in the High Castle fans: Michael Gaston (Mark Sampson in the series) has been bumped to series regular for season three. [Deadline]

All the Shows. As you might remember, a lot of terrific TV airs on Wednesday nights. We have recaps for most of it:

Are you looking forward to seeing Mon Mothma in Star Wars Rebels? Tell me all about it in the comments!
